The Orbital Traction’s adjustable speed drive (ASD) has a compact, in-line form factor and flexible configuration which makes it ideal for applications where space is at a premium and/or unnecessary weight results in additional cost (battery power, fuel efficiency, etc.). The infinite number of ratio settings available provides a mechanical control solution where precise speed control is required. The Orbital Traction’s ASD is scalable to work within a wide variety of applications, ranging from less than a kilowatt (1 HP) to 300 kilowatts (400 HP). Additional designs currently under development show promising results for applications in excess of 300 kilowatts.
